At Brookfields School we offer a large range of clubs. These generally take place at lunchtimes. However, we do have one afterschool club, Basketball, that Mr Esrich runs.
Clubs we are currently running in the secondary school are: Lacrosse, Football, Basketball, Unihoc and Boxercise. Lacrosse was a new sport to the school last year and has gone down very well with a large number of students taking part each week. Boxercise is new this term and the pupils can’t wait to try this new club. The primary school have a Football club at lunchtimes. We also run a Friday after school multi-sports club which will start after Easter.
Sports Fixtures
There are many opportunities for our pupils to participate in a wide range of sports events mainly organised by Reading Disability Sport. These include: Football, Unihoc, Tag Rugby, Boccia, New Age Curling, Basketball tournaments, Athletics events, swimming competitions, Water sports days and many other inclusive sports tournaments. Through these tournaments and events we have forged strong links with the other special needs schools in the area. We also organise some matches and events with local main stream schools. This year we have also managed to get two groups of students out fishing with the Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing Charity.
