PE and Physical Activity

There are three main staff in the Secondary PE Department, Mr Maycock, Mrs Dimbleby and Mrs Tucker. Together we deliver a varied and inclusive spread of PE activities across the secondary school. We teach a large variety of sports adapted to the individual needs of the students. These include: Swimming, Trampolining, Rebound Therapy, Agility, Multiskills, Football, Tag Rugby, Boccia, Yoga, Curling, Basketball, Health Related Fitness, Hockey, Rounders and Softball.

The Key Stage 4 students can access the Entry Level Award Scheme. We run a Fitclub three mornings a week. At break times secondary pupils get a chance to either use multiskill equipment or take part in a sport run by KS3 and 4 sports leaders.

In the Primary school class teachers deliver the PE curriculum; this has a large focus on multiskills and making use of the swimming pool. They also access Tennis and Rugby sessions led by external coaches. The primary school also access Rebound Therapy through the secondary PE staff.
