Brookfields Needs You!

The plans for the new playground - how are you going to contribute?

As you will see from the website, Brookfields School offers a unique environment for young people with a range of special needs, in which they can thrive and develop their full potential. It’s not just OfSTED Inspectors who recognise the work that we do is ‘outstanding’. Parents, visitors and a host of national and international organisations have complimented the school.

However, an integral part of this success is the expertise and dedication of the staff and the quality of the built environment in which they work and the pupils taught. Maintaining these key ingredients costs money and money from public sources is becoming less and less accessible.

There are numerous projects in progress, ready to go, planned or on our wish list. All of which will help to provide our the young people with the best opportunities and start in life possible.

Could your company make Brookfields its Charitable Cause for the year? Do you have a link, however tenuous, with someone who may be able to introduce our cause to potential sponsors, donors or supportive groups? As a parent, friend or grandparent could you consider ways in which you could personally support the needs of the school? Are you running a marathon and looking for a cause to raise funds for!

For example.....

An area that is currently in need of refurbishment is the outdoor environment. Examples include an outdoor classroom for Early Years that is going to cost up to £100,000. Interactive stations for the sensory garden that are costed at £17,000. Complete renovation of a safe outdoor play and learning space for two classes of children with severe and profound needs at £42,000. A desperately needed shaded quad where youngsters can work, play and interact socially is expected to be in excess of £25,000.

£100 would buy the foundation for a raised garden.
£1,000 would provide an interactive sensory feature.
£10,000 would provide a wheelchair accessible roundabout.
£20,000 would pay for the weatherproofing of part of an outdoor classroom.

The work of Brookfields goes far beyond the hours of the school day and we will need YOUR support in order to continue to aim for the best for every individual.
