Investors in People
Brookfields School has once again been awarded Investors in People. We were assessed against the rigorous IiP Standards by our assessor Mr Alan Ward over a period of two full days, who selected a range of staff from the school. In Alan’s final report he has highlighted some notable points:
A very good set of aims and objectives based on an excellent set of values
New approach to linking of training and development more directly with the school’s aims and objectives
A very strong commitment to training and development which has helped to develop a strong, highly motivated workforce who feel pride in their knowledge and expertise
People are supported well by their managers, both in their professional lives and in coping with private crises
People are both recognised and valued and this culture extends to all staff and not just teachers
People at all levels are encouraged to express their ideas and to be involved in the decision making process
Coaching and mentoring is a feature of the school’s practices
People are very positive about the school. The following comments were made by a selection of staff in different roles and sum up the views of people interviewed. Even one person, who had had some previous issues, was very positive about the school’s current situation. Their comments were:
