Brookfields Continues to be an OUTSTANDING School!

On Monday 13th September, we received 'the call' from Ofsted informing us that we were to be inspected on 15th and 16th September!  We knew that we would be inspected around this time but nonetheless, it was still a bit of a shock to know that.....they are on their way.

We are all very thrilled to have been judged, yet again, as an OUTSTANDING school!

The report from Ofsted, which has recently been published, makes great reading.  It praises the behaviour of students as outstanding, and highlights the schools Consultancy, Autism and Behaviour Support Service and the Sensory Resource as an outstanding strength.

Teaching remains outstanding as does our curriculum.  It was great to have endorsed by the inspectors what we already knew, that pupils thoroughly enjoy their learning.

There is praise too for the Jane Headland (Headteacher) and Sara Barham and Brandon Mills (Deputy Headteachers) whose strategic vision and direction are described in the report as contributing well to the improvement since the last inspection.

Jane Headland, Headteacher of Brookfields School said: “This is a fantastic achievement which really does justice to the hard work and enthusiasm of the staff, parents and pupils. We will continue working to keep up this high standard in the future.”

Barbara Alexander, West Berkshire Executive Councillor for Education commented: “I am very pleased with this excellent report.  Everyone involved can be proud of such a positive inspection result.”
