Pastoral Hub and Family Support Workers

Our Pastoral Hub at Brookfields covers family support and therapeutic intervention for any of our pupils at Brookfields School.

We have a Senior Family Support Worker, Ashley Sayer who works directly with families, but also through connected working with outside agencies and other professionals, Ashley can help with referrals into social services or other support services.  She can also assist with applications for government / local authority support (such as transport, disability living allowance, personal independence payments) and support in child protection. Ashley has a wealth of experience across care and community sectors, and is also a trained mediator. She is a designated safeguarding lead with a focus on families / outside of school. Ashley is also currently a social worker student, training with the University of Winchester.

Our other Family Support Worker is Wendy Rosser. Wendy has worked in various roles within Brookfields, and her focus within the Pastoral Hub is supporting families with common issues for our young people within their home environments. These could be related to sleep, behaviour, routines, food and eating, communication etc. She also supports young people who are struggling with attendance.
